19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev won his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has had a torrid period, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive triumph over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from that period of that year.
Victory also signifies Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a title is especially meaningful," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, comprising in that event previously this season.
His counter-punching approach and recurring emotional displays on court had prompted commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the top level was finished.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, securing 4 of the final five points to take the lead.
The pair exchanged breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
He defended four early-game break points in a tight final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, the winner secured the title with a point at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
